On Monday, January 6th, 2025, the communities of Ballybough, Clonliffe and North Strand in Dublin 3 will celebrate Nollaig na mBan (Little Women’s Christmas) with a day-long festival honouring local women and showcasing incredible talent.

The gathering of family and friends for this festival is heart-warming. The festival brings the entire community together under a united umbrella: to have well-deserved fun!

Each year between 10-12 local women — unsung heroes — are chosen for their various contributions to the area, with large posters of the women hung outdoors and an award ceremony on the day.
